Happy 3rd Birthday Easton!

We went to Easton's 3rd birthday party yesterday at Pump It Up! It was so much fun. All three of us had a blast going down the slides. Claire was loving it! When we would get to the bottom, she would start jumping and was ready to go again. What a great party!

Cancun 2008

We had a great trip to Cancun. It was a lot of fun. Tropical storm Dolly tried to ruin it for us, but thankfully, she blew on by. Claire loved the water, as usual, and the ocean as well. We stayed at the resort most of the time and layed by the pools, which were awesome. We went to Cancun for dinner and a little shopping and to Playa del Carmen for dinner. One day we went to Puerto Morrales to the beach. The water there is so beautiful! It was a nice vacation but glad to be back in the USA and have some good food to eat!!!

San Diego

This past weekend we went to San Diego. Josh was playing in the Over the Line tournament with some friends from college. We stayed with our friends Robert and Audrey. They have a 10 week old little boy named Haydn, who Claire loved. I got a few pictures of her "talking" to him. While Josh played in the tournament, Claire and I did a little shopping. The weather was so nice...80 degrees. That's about a 25 degree difference from Bakersfield, so we enjoying being outside at the mall. After shopping I had a craving for a Dairy Queen Girl Scout cookie blizzard. It was delicious...and Claire thought so too! She did great all weekend. She slept all night...which she doesn't do at home and she was in a great mood. We had one episode where she threw up all over herself on the car ride home. She was so tired and wanted me, but I was driving and made herself throw up she cried so hard. I thought Josh and I were both going to throw up as well. Pasta primavera baby food doesn't smell so good when it comes back up! Then on the way back home, we needed to change her diaper. So Josh was changing her in the back of my SUV while I went to the bathroom. When I came out, she had poop all over her and he had it all over his hands. She was screaming, he was getting frustrated because he ran out of wipes and I was laughing! I handed her to him so I could get more wipes and then she peed all over herself and our legs. I was laughing so hard and Josh was getting so mad. I sent him inside and I cleaned up the mess. Traveling with children there is never a dull moment!!!

Helping Daddy with the laundry

When Claire sees the laundry basket with clothes in it, she dashes over there to start pulling clothes out of it. The other night Josh was folding his clothes and she went over to help him. I caught her in the act. Oh, check out her "cowlick." Poor thing gets it from both of us!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great time on the 4th. The weather was so nice..only 92! Claire and I met up with Josh and his friends at Joan's birthday party a.k.a. "The Beer Olympics." They were having fun when I got there. We had to leave a little early so he didn't get to finish...his team did not win. We headed to the next party at Dr. Abdou's house. He's the anesthesiologist that I work with at the surgery center. We cooked out and ate and watched the kids play. Claire had a great time...getting into everything. He lives at the country club so we had a great view of the fireworks from the golf course. Claire loved the fireworks. On our way home, she fell fast asleep! Hope all of you had a great day!
