Bible Study Christmas Party

We had our bible study Christmas party at Colby and Jenny Lewis' house last night. We did a gift exchange with gift cards, which was so much fun. Josh got a gift card to Cold Stone and I got one to California Pizza Kitchen. I'm so excited about having a dinner date in January. After dinner, we played Catch Phrase. The girls VS the guys. The girls won of course! Jenny and Colby have a precious little boy named Cade, who is 9 months old. He and Claire hung out with us during the party. They were the entertainment of the party. Claire and Cade were hanging out with us at the Christmas party. Cade was having a great time. Claire wasn't so sure about it. She was a little fussy as you will see in her picture. Look how big Cade is compared to Claire. He is a doll and always smiling!

A few weekends ago, we had family pictures made on the campus at Cal State. We took so many, but here are some of the best ones. I love the one of sweet Claire playing in the leaves. What a cutie!

Claire Meets Santa!!!

Yesterday, we took Claire to see Santa. I dressed her in one of her cute Christmas outfits and we headed to the mall. Of course she didn't smile, but at least she was looking at the camera.
This weekend has been a busy one. We had Christmas Bunco at our house. The husbands came to this one, which made it a lot of fun. They had a blast and can't wait to play next year. Unfortunately, we didn't win any money. We went to a birthday party last night and played catch phrase. So much fun!!! Today we went to church, ate lunch with the family and went to bible study. We are all so tired. Luckily, I have the next two days off!

Claire's First Thanksgiving!

 

Grammy and Grandpa Come to Visit; Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday Josh!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. We've had a lot going on with work, basketball and keeping up with our sweet Claire. Mom and Dad (aka Grammy and Grandpa) came to visit for Thanksgiving. They were here for a week and we had a great time. We took her to have her 3 month pictures taken and she did great! Josh's birthday was on Thanksgiving so I had everyone over for pizza and cake on Tuesday night. On Thanksgiving day, we had lunch at Josh's parents house. Dad made his delicious "Southern" dressing, which was a hit. Of course, we ate a lot and came home and watched football. While mom was here, she helped me decorate our house for Christmas. So far, that's all I've done. My goal is to have my tree up by this weekend. I'm so thankful that my family was able to visit us during the holiday. Josh and I are so blessed to have a wonderful family and a sweet baby girl!

I thought I would try this to see what the computer said who Claire looked more like. To my surprise it said me! But we all know that she looks like her daddy!

This past weekend we went to the Cal/USC game in Berkeley, Ca. We rented a SUV and the whole family packed in for the road trip. To our surprise, Claire slept the entire trip up there. Saturday we went to Berkeley to see the campus. It was cold so we purchased some Berkeley gear. Even Claire wore a sweatshirt, hat and socks. She looked so cute! It rained all day so during game time, Claire and I sat down under to stay warm and dry. Since I was there for four hours, I made some friends. They helped me to feed and change her and even offered me food. It's amazing what a cute baby can do for you! Sunday was a nice sunny day. We went to San Francisco to see some sites and go shopping. We went to Coit tower to admire the beautiful view. Then we went to Union Square to do some shopping. It was a great time and Claire was an angel all weekend!

9 Weeks Old!

Yesterday, Claire had her 2 month shots. She cried and it made me so sad. I've given so many vaccines before and it never bothered me. Until it was for my child. But she did really well. She didn't run a fever and wasn't fussy. She also slept all night. She's really adjusting to her routine and that makes us all happy! She's growing so fast. She weighs 9 pounds 11 ounces and is 22 inches long. She's finally fitting into her 0-3 month clothes!!!

Claire Slept Through the Night!!!!

After many weeks of ups and downs, Claire slept through the night! I decided it was time for her to sleep in her room. So yesterday, we started our routine with all naps in her bed. Might I add, she is still sleeping in her vibrating chair because of reflux. Last night, she had her bath and then we gave her a massage. After the massage, I fed her and put her down. That was at 10:30. She slept until 6 this morning! My first night of full sleep!!!!!

We've had a long week here at the Williams' house. Claire has been so fussy, crying a lot and not sleeping. So we went to the doctor on Friday and she has reflux. She seems to be doing so much better since we started the medicine. She is sleeping in her vibrating chair and sleeps most of the night. Hallelujah!!! Friday night we went to the North High football game and showed her off. Josh was so proud to show her to all of his friends. And she did great! We went to church this morning and she slept through the entire service with no crying!! She is growing so fast and now weighs 8 pounds and 15 ounces. Her personality is starting to show. She is smiling all the time and cooing. She is such a joy in our lives!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I turned 33 today. It's hard to believe that I'm this old because I don't feel it or hopefully look it!! My morning started with a day at the spa, which my sweet husband had planned for me. I had a massage and a pedicure which were both wonderful and much needed! It's so nice being pampered!! When I got home I had a beautiful arrangement of flowers from my sweet parents! I also had lots of cards, calls, emails and text messages from all of my friends. Thank you for remembering me on my birthday!

Happy 1st Anniversary!

One year ago today I married the most wonderful man in the world. God has blessed my life with Josh and I'm so thankful every day for him. He is so sweet and caring and could not be a better husband and friend. We have had an amazing first year of marriage. A lot has happened in the last year, but the best thing has been the birth of our daughter, Claire. She has brought us even closer together as a couple and more importantly, as a family. We are truly blessed to have each other. I look forward to many more wonderful years with him.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, aka Claire's GRAMMY! We hope she had a wonderful day. It was also my friend Mandy's birthday. Happy Birthday to both of you! We love you!

Bubble Bath Time!!

Claire is 6 weeks old and is growing so fast. She has been smiling and cooing at us and her toys. She is absolutely adorable! She loves having a bubble bath. At first she didn't like having her hair washed, but now she is beginning to enjoy it. We are having so much fun with her!

Claire's first day at Church!

We finally made it to church for the first time since Claire was born. She looked so cute in her white dress. I actually could fit in some of my prepregnancy clothes and put on makeup for the first time all week. She was so good on the way to church and for about the first ten minutes of the service. Then when it was quiet, she started screaming! I was so embarrassed. I couldn't get her out of her car seat fast enough. She calmed down for a while and then started again. Luckily, my mother inlaw was there so she took her out for me so I could enjoy the service. We'll try again next Sunday!

Claire Katherine Williams was born on August 23, 2007 at 7:19 pm. She weighed 5 pounds and 14 ounces and was 18 inches long. She has a head full of brown hair and beautiful blue eyes.
