1 Year Check-up

Claire had her 1 year check-up today. She weighs 20 lbs. 6 oz. and is in the 25-50th percentile. Her height is 29 3/4 and is in the 50-75th percentile. Yeah! She's a little on the tall side, but probably not for long. She had two shots, but did very well. We can now put her on cow's milk which will be so much cheaper than formula!!

I had an appointment today with my doctor. He said everything was looking good. He felt really good about the test results being negative and that his brain venticles were measuring normal. So hopefully, the echogenic bowel is nothing. So please keep praying that everything will be okay.

Claire's 1st Birthday!

It's hard to believe that Claire turned one year old yesterday. Time sure has flown by this year. She is such a sweet little girl and we are so blessed that God chose us to raise her. We had a birthday party for her yesterday with family and friends. It would have been perfect if Grammy and Grandpa could have been there. Claire had so much fun. She loved her cake. She slowly started picking at it and then once she got the hang of it she dove in! Since she is our little princess, I cleaned her up and put her in her princess outfit. What a doll she was. She loves being the center of attention. She had lots of little friends to help her with her presents and boy did she get some great things! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and making her day special. Claire and her new carseat

Today Claire got a new carseat. She is finally big enough to move up to the next carseat and turn around and see the world! Yeah! She is growing so fast. It's hard to believe that she will be 1 next Saturday. She is trying to walk. She takes a few steps and then falls or sits down. She has no fear. She crawled all the way up the stairs the other night to come and find me. Luckily, Josh was right behind her! She is getting more teeth....4 to be exact. Hopefully, they will all come in soon. Two are breaking through and the others aren't far behind. Needless to say, she hasn't been sleeping too well. She never sits still which is hard on her mommy these days!!!!Loving her new seat...with her leg propped up How cute is her new car seat?

First Haircut

We took Claire for her first haircut yesterday. My hairdresser, Tricia, cut it for her. She did great and it looks so cute!

22 weeks and growing!

I'm 22 weeks and growing everyday! This little guy is quite active, which is good. I just hope he sleeps a lot when he gets here because his sister never did. Just to let you know, his name is going to be Carson Patrick. We can't wait to meet him and show him off to all of you.

Grammy and Granpa come to visit

We brought my parents back over here for a few days to visit. I kept dad busy with painting our front door, which looks really good! We shopped a little, hung out at the pool and just enjoyed visiting with each other. While they were here, we had a pre-birthday party for Claire. I ordered her a "smash cake" to practice before the big day. She had a happy birthday hat on and we sang to her. She loved it. She dove right in to the cake, but a little too much icing and she gagged on it. Which you all know, made her throw up! That's our Claire.
Claire had a great time playing with Grammy and Grandpa. She is so busy, getting into everything. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait for them to come back when little brother arrives.

We're having a......

We had our sonogram today and found out we're having a ........BOY!!!!! We're very excited, especially Josh! He is weighing in at 1 lb. 3 oz. The sonogram went well, but it came back with two red flags,I guess you would say. First, his bowel lit up showing it may be an echogenic bowel. So he had me go get tested for CMV and Cystic Fibrosis. Second, one of the ventricles in his brain is measuring 1.1 where normal is 1.0. He said it could be nothing, just the way it showed up on the sonogram. So he scheduled me to see Dr. Koss, a perinatologist from UCLA. He will do another sonogram and let us know more. Hopefully, it is nothing. But whatever the outcome, he will be one loved little boy. Please just say a prayer that everything will be okay or if it's not, that there is nothing else wrong. I know that God will take care of us and this little boy and he has already blessed us so much.

Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas last Tuesday to meet up with my parents. They were there for the furniture market so we went to hang out with them and bring them back to Bakersfield. We had a great time, even though it was very hot! We enjoyed the pool, good food and winning some money! It wasn't much, but at least we could say that we were winners!

Boy or girl?

Just to let everyone know, I go back to the doctor next Thursday for a sonogram. I promise I will let everyone know if it's a boy or a girl! I'm dying to know too!
